Headed to Maine

I’m headed to Maine on Sunday to attend the Collaborative for Access and Successful College Outcomes (CASCO) Conference at Bowdoin College.  This is the 4th annual Conference but will be my 1st time attending.  I am very grateful for a grant from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation that allows me to attend and I look forward to integrating what I learn into my practice and for sharing as much as possible with others who work with underrepresented and first-generation college students.

“The CASCO Conference unites and empowers professionals from high schools, community organizations, and college admissions, financial aid, and student affairs* in building solid pathways for student success.”

As an added bonus, it will be my 1st time back on the Bowdoin campus since my son, Joshua graduated in 2013.  It was cold and rainy for his graduation, so I’m hoping for warmer and less wet weather.  I know that I am a bit biased, but to me, the campus is absolutely beautiful any time of year and any kind of weather!
